Follow these steps to install The Sims 4 DLCs on Linux or Steam Deck
First, install The Sims 4 through Steam or EA App using Proton/Wine compatibility layer.
Find where The Sims 4 is installed:
Steam (typical
path):
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 4/
EA App via
Lutris:
~/Games/ea-app/drive_c/Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 4/
Visit our manual downloads page and download the DLCs you want:
Each DLC comes as a .zip file that you'll need to extract.
Extract the downloaded .zip files to your game directory:
unzip EP01.zip -d "/path/to/The Sims 4/"
Or use your file manager's extract function and copy the contents to the game folder.
Download the EA DLC Unlocker for Linux (Raw Version):
Click Here to Download Unlocker RAW version
Unzip the file and make sure the script (`setup_linux.sh`) and all necessary files (`config.ini`, `ea_app` folder, `g_*.ini` files) are in the same folder.
Use the Terminal to grant permission and run the setup file:
cd /path/to/your/fileschmod +x setup_linux.sh./setup_linux.shThe script menu will open in the Terminal. Follow these steps sequentially:
The output should show 'DLC Unlocker installed' in green and 'Game configs installed: The Sims 4' below it.
Launch The Sims 4 through Steam or your launcher. All DLCs should now be available!
